Albertine Benoit					[Photo]

Albertine Clement Benoit, 82, a native of Grand Caillou and resident of Chauvin, 
died at 10:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Wednesday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Mass will be at 11 a.m. 
Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, Benedict Benoit of Houma, Joey Benoit of Petal, 
Miss., and Essie "E.J." Benoit Jr. of Chauvin; two daughters, Betty Prosperie of 
Houma and Judy McClure of Houma; one brother, Roland Clement of Montegut; two 
sisters, Annie Trahan of Chauvin and Shirley Savoie of Houma; 11 grandchildren; 
18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Essie Benoit Sr.; her parents, Adrian 
and Mathilda Scott Clement; one son, Alvin Benoit; one daughter, Heddy Benoit; 
two brothers, Raymond and Albert Clement; one sister, Evenolia Domangue; and one 
great-grandchild, Natasha Guidry.

She was a resident of the Oaks of Houma and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic 
Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations for funeral expenses are preferred.
