Benjamin Charles Jr.				[Photo]

Benjamin "Ben" Charles Jr., 60, a native of Houma and resident of Terrebonne 
Parish, died at 2:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2005.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Howard Third Zion Travelers 
Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with 
burial in St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Gustavia Charles; his mother, Sadie Charles; two 
sons, Rinard Charles and wife, Deauntria, of Houma, and Benjamin Charles III and 
companion, Choka Khan Nells, of Houma; three daughters, Cheryl C. Jones of 
Houma, Pamela C. Mathews and husband, Ronald, and Jennea C. Duran and husband, 
Mauricio; five brothers, Donald Charles, James Charles and wife, Bernadine, 
Robert Charles, Leroy Charles and wife, Rhonda, and Larry Charles; one sister, 
Joyce Bolden; and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Charles Sr.; and one brother, 
Rinard Charles.

He was retired from Exxon-Mobil and was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church.
