The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= February 24. 2005 12:39PM Carl Gooch [Photo] Carl "Booster" Gooch, 78, a native of Orange, Texas, former resident of Houma for 40 years and resident of Kingwood, Texas, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005. Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Abbeville, with burial in St. Paul Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marion Gooch; two daughters, Carla Tucker and husband, Michael, of Kingwood and Millie Gooch of Houma; one adoptive daughter, Eileen Peacher; and two grandchildren, Amanda Tucker and Jeremy Tucker. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Amy Gooch; two sisters, Dorothy Hardin and Bea White; and one brother, Billie Gooch. He was retired from Gulf Oil after 38 years and was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter and for many years collected American Indian artifacts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation, 500 Morris Ave., Springfield, NJ 07081. Kingwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
