Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Boone Funeral Home in Leland, Miss. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Jean Chouccoli Dennis of Houma; three daughters, Gail Dennis, Charlotte Pitre and husband, Ray Jr., and Sandy Marie and husband, Leslie, all of Houma; one son, Charles "Bud" Dennis of Houma; three sisters, Yvonne Johnson of Pascagoula, Miss., Neil Rosalis of Gautier, Miss., and Minnie Johnson of Memphis, Texas; one brother, Alvin Dennis Jr. of Hurley, Miss.; eight grandchildren, Hayes Marie, Sam Marie Spry, Missy Gregoire, Terry Gregoire Jr., Dee Pitre, Dena Pitre White, Danny Ray Pitre Jr. and Dustin Pitre, all of Houma; 14 great-grandchildren; and his pet puppy "Taco." He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Columbus and Nellie Bouler Dennis; two sisters, Becky Hutton and Lillie Trim; and one brother, Joel Thomas Dennis. He lived most of his life in Glen Allan, Miss., until five years ago when he moved to Houma. He worked for Walker Farms in Stoneville for many years and retired from OPI Oil Field after 25 years. In lieu of flowers, donations to help with funeral arrangements are preferred. Boone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
