Daniel Martinez Sr.

Daniel A. Martinez Sr., 77, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 4:14 p.m. 
Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic 
Church in Raceland. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial 
in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Lolita Waguespack Martinez; one son, Daniel Martinez 
Jr.; three daughters, Laura St. Pe', Cynthia St. Pierre and Debra Aucoin; four 
brothers, Elmo, Raynal, Roy and Jerry Martinez; one sister, Nannette Huber; 12 
grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three step-
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Loreanna Terrebonne 
Martinez; and one brother, Gabriel Martinez.

He was a fireman first class on a battleship in the U.S. Navy during World War 
II and a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church.
