Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Gregory Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by her husband, Andrew "Bill" Ford of Houma; two sons, David Ford and companion, Justine Melancon, and Jed Ford and wife, Amy, all of Houma; three daughters, Lynn Ostheimer and husband, Dr. Arthur Ostheimer, Shirley Melancon and husband, Dr. David Melancon, and Carla Fanguy and husband, Mark Fanguy, all of Houma; 13 grandchildren, Guy Waguespack, Arthur Ostheimer; Ryan Melancon, Aimee M. Matthews, Crystal Melancon, Julien Melancon, Andrew Melancon, Alisha F. Giroir, Ashley Ford, Andrea Ford, Abbey Boudreaux, Crystal F. Hatch and Cara Fanguy; and her special family friend, Myree' Cazentre of Houma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Rhodes and Elizabeth Domangue Rhodes; three brothers, Adrian Rhodes Sr., James J. Rhodes and Dallas Rhodes Sr.; and one sister, Nythia Rhodes Hebert. She was retired from Terrebonne Parish School Board and was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and friend. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
