"Crip" Breaux, 90, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Raceland, died at 1:05 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland. He is survived by one son, Michael J. Breaux; one daughter, Pamela Breaux Boudreaux; two brothers, Norman Breaux and Elmo Breaux; one sister, Denise Zeringue; four grandchildren, Joey Breaux, James Breaux, Lonnie Boudreaux and Melissa Thomas; four great-grandchildren, Coby Breaux, Alexia Breaux, Jacob Boudreaux and Derrek Thomas; and two step-great-grandchildren, Seth and Sean. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Robichaux Breaux; his parents, Andrew and Mathilde Melancon Breaux; three brothers, Verdie, Wilson and Lester Breaux; and one sister, Anna Mae Breaux. He was a self-employed businessman and developer. He served 16 years as a Lafourche Parish School Board member and original developer of Community Bank, Sugarland Subdivision and Sugarland Country Club. He was a member of the Raceland Lions Club, Knights of Columbus and Woodmen of the World. He began the first community garbage service on Lafourche.
