Gernice Bruce						[Photo]

Gernice "Ger" Dufrene Bruce, 88, a native of Galliano and resident of Cut Off, 
died at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic 
Church in Galliano. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial 
in Cheramie Cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald Bruce and wife, Emelda, Gary Bruce and 
wife, Greta, and Michael Bruce and wife, Rosalie; three brothers, Herman, Harris 
and Harvey Dufrene; one sister, Peggy Charpentier; seven grandchildren; and six 
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Felix Bruce; her parents, Orest 
Dufrene and Alcida Autin Dufrene; one granddaughter, Cathy Bruce; and two 
brothers, Howell and Henry Dufrene.

She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Legion of Mary and 
the Ladies Altar Society of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
