Guidry, 83, a native of Harvey and resident of Cut Off, died at 7:10 p.m. Monday Feb. 21, 2005. Visitation will be from 7 to 10 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Religious services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with military rites to follow at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. He is survived by his wife, Ouida Lasseigne Guidry; one son, Anthony and daughter-in-law, Deidra, and their children, Al and Tony Guidry; one daughter, Kay, and son-in-law, Hank Kiff; granddaughter, Jami Rose Guidry and her daughter, great-grandchild, Isabella Rose Cheramie; daughter-in-law, Rose N. Guidry and her children, Matthew and Krystal Naquin; one brother, Logan Guidry; one sister, Joyce Danos; and his godchildren, Ruth F. Badeaux and Carolyn G. Bruce. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond V. and Antoinette Federine Guidry; and one son, James B. Guidry. He was a Mason for more than 50 years and was a volunteer fireman having been the first fire chief at Bel Ami Fire Station in Cut Off. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World more than 50 years. He was a World War II veteran receiving several awards and medals including Sharp Shooter, Good Conduct Medal, Victor Medal, Purple Heart and many others. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
