Barker Jr., 91, a native of Lockport and resident of River Ridge, died at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by one son, John S. Barker III and wife, Suzanne Babin; one daughter, Susan B. Brock and husband, Philip Rodney; seven grandchildren, Allison and John B. Barker, Michael and Jennifer Brock, Ellen Haughey, Sally Henderson and Anne Chlebos; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Blouin Barker; his parents, John Barker Sr. and Octavia Lejeune Barker; four brothers, Warren, Oville, Edward and Thomas Barker; and two sisters, Irene B. Barrios and Clarabelle B. Herron. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Savior School in Lockport.
