John Rodrigue						[Photo]

John "Norris" Rodrigue, 71, a native of Bayou Blue and resident of Schriever, 
died of lung cancer at 7 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2005.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Tuesday at First Assembly of God in Thibodaux. Religious service will be at 10 
a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Bridget Cemetery in Schriever.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Mae Brunet Rodrigue; one son, Lonnie John 
Rodrigue; one daughter, Missie Bridget Rodrigue Verret; seven brothers, Willard, 
Eugene, Bobby, Eddie, Raymond, Gus and Gary Rodrigue; four sisters, Walterine 
Babin, Gloria Cherry, Georgianna Shepard and Lillie Myers; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustin and Bridget Martin Rodrigue; 
five brothers, Walton, Weston, Wilbur, Wallace and Berryl Rodrigue; one sister, 
Mary Ann Rodrigue.

He was a member of the Assembly of God and an Army medic.
