Joseph Cherry

Joseph Anthony Cherry, 100, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 12:20 
a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at Thibodaux Funeral Home and from 8 
a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. Mass will be at 10 
a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Giammancheri Cherry; two daughters, Virginia 
Marie Cherry Jimenez and husband, Louis Alvaro Jimenez, and Patricia Ann Cherry 
Lasseigne and husband, Lynn Paul Lasseigne; four grandchildren, Bivonia Maria 
Jimenez, Mariella Teresa Jimenez, Bradley Joseph Lasseigne and Dawson Paul 
Lasseigne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Cherry (Francesco Cerasa) and 
Virginia Marone Cherry (Vincenza Marone Cerasa); three brothers, Gasper Cherry, 
Sam Cherry and Gregory "Roland" Cherry; and three sisters, Mary Cherry 
Bonfiglio, Pauline Cherry Messina Spizale and Josephine Cherry.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
