Joseph Thompson Sr.					[Photo]

Joseph "Padoe" Thompson Sr., 64, a native of Houma and resident of New Orleans, 
died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. James Methodist Church in New 
Orleans, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Thompson; five daughters, Donna Davis, Kim 
Cager, Judy Thompson, Elvina Sims and Jonella Thompson, all of New Orleans; four 
brothers, James Thompson, Charles Thompson and Richard Thompson, all of Houma 
and Lewis Thompson of Atlanta; three sisters, Deloris Brown, Rosemary Brown and 
Cora Johnson, all of Houma; 31 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Thompson Jr.; his parents, John 
Thompson and Bernice Thompson; two sisters, Alberta Thompson and Shirley Haley; 
and his grandparents, Alberta Rosie Thompson, Joe Thompson, Kitty Sneeze and 
Eddie Sneeze.

He worked for Stewert Enterprise for 15 years, was a forklift operator and an 
employee of Kenilworth Apartments for five years.

He was a member of the Body of Christ Temple Ministry.
