Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Delhomme Funeral Home in Lafayette. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial in Holy Mary, Mother of God Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Gail Champagne; four sons, Paul Champagne and wife, Audrey, of Lake Charles; Kenneth Champagne, M.D., and wife, Yvette, of Lafayette, Wayne Champagne of Scott and Barry Champagne and wife, Trish, of Thibodaux; three daughters, Libby Banquer and husband, Mark, of Breaux Bridge, Patti Menard and husband, Robert, of Youngsville and Sondra Carr and husband, Russell, of Broussard; one brother, Eugene Champagne Jr. and wife, Raymonde, of Bayou Dularge; two sisters, Lydie Chauvin of Houston and Virgie Lee LeBouef of Houma; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Champagne and Noicia Theriot Champagne; two sisters, Inez Orgeron and Eva Labbe; and one brother, Lawrence Champagne.
