Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at 11 a.m. at the cathedral, with burial in St. Eloi Cemetery. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Ruth Aycock Zappa of Houma, her caregiver, Tammy Johnston of Houma; one nephew, Bobby Aycock and wife, Vickie of Bayou Dularge; one niece, Sarah Walker and husband, Jake of Houma; one grand nephew and a host of grand nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Paul Champagne; her parents, Gaston P. Aycock Sr. and Marie Louise Theriot Aycock; one brother, Gaston P. Aycock Jr.; and one sister, MaeBelle A. Dodd. She was a retired school teacher of 40 years with the Terrebonne Parish School District. She taught at Houma Elementary and belonged to the Retired Teacher's Association of Terrebonne Parish. She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice South Louisiana, 723 Point St. Suite B, Houma. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
