Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Falgout Funeral Home Chapel. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with burial in Grace Christian Memorial Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Annette "Anita" Madeline Roberts VanAllen; two sons, Marcus and wife, Paula VanAllen of Houma and Marvin and wife, Julie of Broussard; one daughter, Sandra Bedwell and husband, Johnny, of Harvey; three sisters, Dorline Myers of California, Betty Hamm of Alice, Texas, and Reva Dickson of Middleton, Texas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn W. and Ida Gillis VanAllen; five brothers, Bob, Louis B., Leeland, Jake and Billy VanAllen; one sister, Velda Meridith; and one granddaughter, Pauline VanAllen. He worked for Rowan Drilling Co. for 25 years and was in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Beth Pentecostal Church in Patterson.
