The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= February 04. 2005 12:47PM Rosalie Trahan [Photo] Rosalie Marie Smith Trahan, 70, a native of Chauvin and resident of New Iberia, died at 1:50 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005. Visitation will be from 3 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by one son, Donald Anthony Trahan; one daughter, Anna Lee Trahan Watkins and husband, James Watkins Sr.; seven grandchildren, Mindy Trahan Abadie, Jeremy J. Trahan, James Watkins Jr., Greg Watkins, Ginger Watkins, Mikki Marie Smigielski and Michael Watkins; nine great-grandchidren, Harlee, Cameron, Jessie Curole, Brock, Bradley, Sophia, Skyler Lee, Tabatha and Evangeline; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kylie and Ian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam A. Trahan; her parents, Leonie and Mabel Portier Smith; and one son, Ronald Trahan. She was a retired cook at Lacache Middle School and was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, who she always put before herself.
