Ruby Duplantis						[Photo]

Ruby Marie LeCompte Duplantis, 83, a native and resident of Houma, died at 7:45 
a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005.

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Bernadette 
Catholic Church. Mass will be at noon Monday at the church, with burial in St. 
Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by three daughters, Myra D. Blanchard and husband, Charles, 
Linda D. Smart and husband, Ken, and Faye D. Andras and husband, Herbert Andras 
Sr. of Houma; one brother, Ray LeCompte of Houma; three sisters, Lou Jene 
Boudreaux, Bonnie Lapeyrouse and Emma Lee Porche of Houma; seven grandchildren, 
Charla Chatagnier, Sherry Voisin, Herb Andras, Leslie Domangue, Chris Smart, 
Wayne Blanchard and April Andras; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lawrence Duplantis; her 
parents, Claude LeCompte and Carrie LeBoeuf LeCompte; one brother, Bill 
LeCompte; and three sisters, Nell L. Domangue, Claudia L. Belinski and Joyce L. 
Marcel.

She was homemaker and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
