Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his mother, Josephine Malbrough Songy of Houma; one daughter, Stephanie Leigh Songy; one brother, Barry Songy; and two grandchildren, Olivia Guidry and Karoline Guidry. He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Robert Songy Sr. He was founder and former owner of Songy Sporting Goods and founder of Terrebonne Fuel and Lube. He was past president of the Krewe of Houmas, King of Hyacinthians, a member of the Whiskey Pass Fishing Club and G.C.C.A. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Germany. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
