Anna Gueffier

Anna M. Gueffier, 98, a native and resident of Des Allemands, died at 5:27 p.m. 
Thursday, March 17, 2005.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Gertrude Catholic 
Church in Des Allemands. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with 
burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two sisters, Cerene "FiFi" Matherne and Gladys Schaubhut.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jean "Frenchy" Gueffier; her parents, 
Charles Matherne Sr. and Marie Touchard Matherne; three brothers, John, Charles 
Jr. and Don Matherne; and three sisters, Cecile Schaubhut, Blanche Lejeune and 
Lucille Lejeune.

She was a member of St. Gertrude Ladies Altar Society and a parishioner of St. 
Gertrude Catholic Church.
