Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Thibodaux. Religious service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Young Men's Benevolent Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Sallie Magee Verrett of Gretna; one son, Robert Paul Verrett of Atlanta; two stepsons, Wilson Theodore of Norfolk, Va., and Marcus Theodore of Lees Summit, Mo.; three daughters, Sandra Folse and Rose Verrett of Thibodaux and Avis Verrett of Raceland; two stepdaughters, Tiffany Theodore of Terrytown and Cherrie Carruthers of Lees Summit; one brother, Royal Verrett of New Orleans; two sisters, Fannie Lofton and Helen Washington of Raceland; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mary Johnson Verrett; one brother, Joseph Verrett; and one sister, Eleanor Verrett.
