The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= March 27. 2005 12:33AM Dovie Naquin [Photo] Dovie Joseph Naquin, 91, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Pointe- aux-Chenes, died at 9:26 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2005. Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Pointe-aux-Chenes Fire Station and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by four sons, Gary, Mark, Dwight and Bert Naquin; three daughters, Raley Duplantis, Grace Daigle and Fannie Tomlin; five sisters, Naise Levron, Cena Naquin, Rose Martin, Delma Hutchinson and Wilma Norman; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nezia Marie Naquin; his parents, Francois and Margaret LeBoeuf Naquin; one infant brother; two sisters, Lea Brunet and Felicia Naquin; and one grandson, Daniel James Duplantis. He received the "Cajun Ambassador to Tourists Plaque" given by then-Lt. Gov. Kathleen Blanco and was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
