Dr. Joseph George

Dr. Joseph Moses George, 90, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 8:46 
a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005.

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Thibodaux Funeral 
Home. Religious service will be at noon Friday at the funeral home, with burial 
in St. Joseph Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Elma Brupbacher George; one son, Joseph Marc George; 
one daughter, Janice Finane; one sister, Gertrude Bonvillain; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Moses and Nora Bashara George; one son, 
Joseph Moses George Jr.; and three brothers, Gabriel, Albert and Michael George.

He was a doctor of optometry for 53 years and was a charter member of the 
Thibodaux Lions Club.
