Earl Sevin Sr.

Earl Joseph Sevin Sr., 78, a native of Raceland and resident of Des Allemands, 
died at 7:30 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Gertrude 
Catholic Church in Des Allemands. Mass will be at noon Wednesday at the church, 
with burial in Lakelawn Cemetery in Metairie.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Douglas Sevin; four sons, Earl J. Sevin 
Jr., Michael Sevin, Brent M. Douglas and Travis J. Douglas; two daughters, Ruth 
Sevin Johnson and Aurita Sevin Ponsaa; one brother, John J. Sevin; two sisters, 
Marguerite Sevin Punch and Dolores Sevin Oppermann; and two grandchildren, 
Christine E. Sevin and Joseph R. Sevin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph E. Sevin and Lily Babin Sevin; 
and one sister, Dorothy Sevin.

He was a retired electrician with IBEW Local 130 and was a World War II Navy 
veteran.

He was an avid sportsman, loved to cook and was a committee member of the 
catfish festival.

He was a parishioner of St. Gertrude Catholic Church.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
