At her request, a Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church to honor her memory. She was the loving wife of Raymond Henry Turcotte; the fun-loving sister of Ruth "Sweetie" Achee and Cleveland "Sonny" Bergeron Jr.; devoted mother of Jeffery Allan Rose, Steven Thomas Rose, Dawn Elaine Rose LaFont, Shanda Turcotte Sergent, Paul Donald Turcotte, Julie Lynn Turcotte Porterpan and Lucille Marie Turcotte Landry. She was "Maw Maw Turk" to 24 grandchildren; and "Great Maw Maw Turk" to four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland Joseph Bergeron and Irene Callahan Bergeron; one son, Steven Thomas Rose; and one granddaughter, Jade Elaine Thomas. She was a homemaker and U.S. Air Force veteran, beloved by her husband, children, grandchildren and all who knew her. In her final days, she knitted hats for all of the children at Pointe-aux-Chenes Elementary and collected pennies for Operation Rice Bowl, a Catholic relief service. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
