The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= March 13. 2005 12:23AM Gertrude Giroir Gertrude Dupre Giroir, 93, a native and resident of Belle Rose, was entrusted to God's care Friday, March 11, 2005, at River West Medical Center in Plaquemines. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 to 10:15 a.m. Monday at Ourso Funeral Home of Donaldsonville. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose, with interment in the church mausoleum. The Rev. Matt Dupre will officiate the services, and her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. She is survived by one daughter, Janet Tolleson, and husband, Gerald, of Bourg; two sons, Ronald Giroir and wife, Pam, of Donaldsonville and Richard Giroir and wife, Lorraine, of Belle Rose; two sisters, Marquerite Landry of Belle Rose and Ethel Boudin of St. Rose; three brothers, Rudolph Henry Dupre, William Dupre and Tommy Dupre, all of Belle Rose; seven precious grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Giroir; her parents, Henry Dupre Sr. and Victoria Hebert Dupre; one sister, Thelma Bergeron; and two brothers, Herbert Dupre and Bim Dupre. She was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. Ourso Funeral Home of Donaldsonville is in charge of arrangements.
