Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday. There will be a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley. Call (337) 783-3313 to find out location. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, with interment in Woodlawn Mausoleum. The Rev. Gary Shexnayder, pastor of the church, will officiate. He is survived by his wife, Stella Zaunbrecher Doucet of Houma; four sons, Larry Doucet, Karl Doucet, Leonard Doucet and wife, Bonnie, and John Doucet, all of Houma; one daughter, Gwen D. Carlos of Houma; two sisters, Betty Gil and husband, Harvey, of Eunice, and Judy Breaux and husband, Roy, of Port Neches, Texas; eight grandchildren, Christy Diggs and husband, Ricky, Brad, MiMi, Erik, Dustin and Jordan Doucet, Jayne and Spencer Engeron; and two great- grandchildren, Brittany and Brianna Diggs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Attel Gay Doucet; and one brother, Robert Doucet. He was a graduate of McNeese State University, a retired marketing sales representative for Exxon and a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a longtime coach for Terrebonne Parish Recreation, Past Grand Knight for Knights of Columbus Council No. 1317 in Houma and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley is in charge of arrangements.
