Laura Rodrigue

Laura Rodrigue, 86, a native of Lockport and resident of Chackbay, died at 1:24 
p.m. Friday, March 11, 2005.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Our Lady of Prompt 
Succor. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church 
cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Larry James Rodrigue; three daughters, Betty R. 
Amedee, Peggy R. Duet and Deanna R. Oubre; two brothers, Earless J. Orgeron and 
Ferdie Orgeron; three sisters, Earline O. Pitre, Renella O. Ledet and Iola O. 
St. Pierre; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude N. Rodrigue; her parents, Abel 
J. and Celina Griffin Orgeron; one grandson, Lane J. Duet; one great-grandson, 
Blake Ryan Oubre; one brother, Lawrence Orgeron; and her stepmother, Adeline 
Orgeron.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor. She was a member of the 
Ladies Altar Society, a Lay Carmalite and a member of the Senior Citizen Center 
6th Ward.
