Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by six sons, Rudy Ledet and wife, Marian, Jimmy Daigle and wife, Dianne, Johnny Barrios and wife, Carolyn, Dave DeHarte and wife, Vera, Terry DeHarte and wife, Diana, of Houma, and Curtis DeHart of Dulac; one daughter, Nolia DeHarte Carrere and husband, Lynn, of Dulac; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jervais Paul DeHarte; her parents, Johnny Penton and Nolia Toups Penton; and one brother, Ernest John Penton. She was a homemaker and a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 4752 in Dulac and was a past employee of Woolworth and Montgomery Ward. Her first love in life was family. She enjoyed traveling, camping and being social with friends. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
