Mary Preston

Mary Bancroft Preston, 74, a native of Warrensburg, Mo., and resident of Houma, 
died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2005, after a long battle with emphysema.

Private services for family and friends will be at 8 p.m. Saturday at the family 
residence.

She is survived by her mother, Mildred Smith Bancroft of Clinton, Mo.; five 
sons, Kevin Lee Preston and wife, Tina, of Tomball, Texas, Monte Lee Preston and 
wife, Sallie of Houma, Robin Lee Preston and wife, Maria, of Sugarland, Texas, 
Gregory Mitchell Preston of Roanoke, Va., and Shane Preston and wife, April, of 
Houma; one daughter, Jayme Gayle Taylor and husband, Gary, of Warrensburg; two 
sisters, Anna Laura Kiser of Clinton and Bette Jean Dameron of Chilhowel, Mo.; 
15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one 
step-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Preston; her father, John 
Bancroft; two grandchildren, Nicholas Lee Preston and Kevin Lee Preston Jr.; and 
one great-grandchild, Bethany Vale Chauvin.

She was a homemaker.
