The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= Modeste Pellegrin [Photo] Modeste Mary "Maude" Martin Pellegrin, 93, a native and resident of Chauvin, died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2005. Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Eugene "Beanie" Pellegrin of Chauvin and Milton "Sonny" Pellegrin of Houma; one daughter, Claudia Brunet and husband, Angelo, of Chauvin; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton "Blood" Pellegrin Sr.; her father, John Batiste Martin; her mother and stepfather, Annette Portier Domangue and Bing Domangue; one foster son, Ronnie Martin; one grandson, Neal Pellegrin; two brothers, Evince and Eustache Martin; one sister, Agnes Bergeron; and three half-sisters, Viola Hebert, Odelia Brunette and Ozelia Landry. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
