Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery. He is survived by one son, Nelson Jr.; one daughter Ivadell Chauvin; one brother, Oliver Foret; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anise Bourgeois Foret; his parents, Willie Sr. and Victoria Danos Foret; five brothers, Ridley, Mack, Harris, Nolan and Willie Foret Jr.; and one sister, Marie F. Zeringue. He was the proprietor of Nelson's Bar and hosted the duck-calling contest at his bar.
