Raymond Liggett Sr.					[Photo]

Raymond Liggett Sr., 72, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houston, 
died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Mabrie Memorial Funeral Home in 
Houston. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at God's Way Missionary 
Baptist Church in Houston, with burial in Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Houston.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris Liggett; his mother, Hilda Wilson; three 
sons, Raymond Liggett Jr., Kenneth Liggett and Micheal Liggett; two daughters, 
Ruby Mannuell of Schriever and Olidia Rose Evans of Gray; four sisters, Ora Mae 
Lagarde of Gray, Carolyn Welch and husband, Claudell, of Gray, Marolyn Morris of 
Raceland and Eartha Jiles and husband, Henry, of Houston; nine grandchildren; 
and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Hammond; and his grandmother, 
Lucy Liggett.

He was a post master, accountant, photographer and a U.S. Army veteran.
