Viola Pitre

Viola Josephine Pitre, 82, a native of Montegut and resident of Houma, died at 
7:38 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2005.

Visitation will be 1 to 9 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at 
Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church with burial in Dugas Cemetery.

She is survived by four sons, Leroy Gilling, Kenneth Pitre of Chauvin, Darrell 
Pitre of Fort Lauderdale and Tony Lapeyrouse of Houma; one daughter, Rita Ward 
of Houma; one sister, Mabel Pitre Malbrough of Chauvin; eight grandchildren and 
seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Random Pitre and Ernestine 
Cunningham Pitre; two grandchildren, Mickey Joseph Guidry and Tina Marie Guidry; 
one great-granddaughter, Haley Nicole; and one sister, Bessie Pitre.

She was a homemaker and parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
