Walter Schmitt Sr.					[Photo]

Walter "Smitty" Anthony Schmitt Sr., 76, a native of New Orleans and resident of 
Houma, died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Samart Funeral Home in 
Raceland. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial in 
Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans.

He is survived by one son, Walter "Skip" Schmitt Jr.; and two daughters, Ann M. 
Schmitt of Hammond and Pamela M. S. Cangelosi of Chalmette.

He was preceded in death by his companion, Amie Akerman; his parents, Adolph 
Joseph Schmitt and Emily Holmes Schmitt; and one brother, Adolph J. Schmitt Jr.

He was a TV repairman and was Catholic.
