Visitation will be from noon to funeral time Thursday at First Methodist Church in Houma. Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ann Breeding of Houma; three sons, Steven Breeding of Boutte, Warren Breeding of East Granby, Conn., and James Breeding of Houston; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Frances Breeding. He was a retired construction management consultant and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was raised in Mexico and Venezuela with elementary education at Moye Military School of Castroville, Texas. He graduated high school at Schreiner Institute of Kerrville, Texas, and received a BSCE from the University of Houston in 1960. He retired from J. Ray McDermott and Company of New Orleans where he served as manager of Nigerian Operations. He spent most of his career in international construction operations including major associations with Exxon-Libya, RMK-BRJ of Vietnam, Eniepsa of Spain, Lockheed Shipbuilding of Seattle, Rotoflex of El Salvador, Inwood Construction of Dallas and Brown and Root of Houston. He was a past member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society Professional Estimators and held a master marine's license. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the First Methodist Church bell fund or building fund. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
