Willie Mae LaGarde, 81, a native and resident of Houma, died at 11:30 a.m. 
Sunday, March 27, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Peter Baptist 
Church in Montegut. Funeral services will be at noon Friday at the church, with 
burial in Bisland Cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Deon Romell Thomas; five daughters, Rosella Jackson 
and husband, Dalton, Lucinda Thomas and husband, Steve, Judy Williams and 
husband, Roland, Betty Harris and husband, Sam, and Kanesha Johnson and husband, 
Christopher; one sister, Jeanette Allen; seven grandchildren; 19 great-
grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis "Teko" LaGarde; her parents, 
Julius and Pauline Lyons Mitchell; one daughter; and three brothers.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter Baptist Church.
