Alzina Pitre

Alzina "LaSur" Guidry Pitre, 78, a native and resident of Galliano, died at 2:30 
a.m. Monday, April 18, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Our Lady of Prompt 
Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 
the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Dumas "John" Pitre; three sons, David, Ronald 
and Alan Pitre; three daughters, Gail Griffin, Jeannie Cheramie and Patty 
Cheramie; two brothers, Robinson and James Guidry; four sisters, Nita Plaisance, 
Doris Stewart, Lolita Chouest and Ruth Lagarde; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-
grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one great-step-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samson and Alexina Cheramie Guidry; 
one infant son; five brothers, Herman, Morrison, Rogers, Robert and Samson 
Guidry; and three great-grandchildren.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
