Charlene Rainey					[Photo]

Charlene Smith Rainey, 63, a native and resident of Houma, died at 6:25 a.m. 
Saturday, April 2, 2005.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at New Rising Sun Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be at the church at 11 a.m. with burial in the church 
cemetery.

She is survived by husband, Bernell Rainey Jr.; one son, Wayne Michael Rainey; 
two daughters, Denise Joyce Rainey Johnson and Cynthia Marie Moore; two 
stepbrothers, Mario Smith and Joey Smith of Los Angeles, Calif.; two 
stepsisters, Lisa Walls and Cynthia Shields of Los Angeles; six grandchildren; 
and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Smith and Evelyn King Smith.

She was a kindergarten teacher at Grand Caillou Elementary School for 35 years.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
