Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Lois Alice Baker Collins of Houma; three sons, Charles Baker Collins and wife, Jean, Thomas Collins and wife, Marjorie, of Houma, and Glen Collins and wife, Marion, of Morgan City; one sister, Clara LeBouef of Lafayette; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Clay Collins Sr. and Irene Maria Theriot Collins; one son, James Mel Collins; three brothers, Harold, Authur and Tom Collins; and one sister, Ruth Jarrell. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Terrebonne Special Olympics.
