Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Community Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial in Woodlawn Ranch Cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Hazel M. Burns; seven brothers, Robert, Melvin and Kenneth McKinley, Wayne, Steven and Benjamin Burns, and James Norman, all of Houma; and six sisters, Paula Outley of Chauvin, Ruth Ann Mickey, Odellia Smith and Carmelisa Burns, all of Houma, Nicole Morgan of Katy, Texas, and Diandrea Verney of Longwood, Fla. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Burns; one brother, Wayne Anthony Burns; one sister, Denise Ann McKinley; and his grandparents, Ben and Odellia Burns and William and Odeal McKinley. He was a roofer with Rene Tinner Construction.
