Gertrude Skinner

Gertrude Celistan Skinner, 80, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Avondale 
died Tuesday, March 29, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Austerlitz Baptist 
Church in New Orleans. Religious services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the 
church with burial in Restlawn Cemetary in Avondale.

She is survived by one son, Edward Skinner; one daughter, Betty Rhodes; one 
brother, Ezra Celistan; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie Celistan and Lilly Smith 
Celistan.

She was a member of Austerlitz Baptist Church.
