Hubert Lirette Sr., 81, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Bayou Blue, died 
at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Thibodaux Funeral Home and from 8 
a.m. to funeral time Friday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in 
Chackbay. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the 
church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Landry Lirette; two sons and daughters-in-law, 
Terry and Miranda Lirette and Hubert Jr. and Kathleen Lirette; two daughters and 
sons-in-law, Linda and Clifford Cortez and Audrey and Rowland Caldwell; three 
brothers, Ashby, Jerry and Larry Lirette; four sisters, Ruby Landry, Vivian 
Tabor, Jenny Chaisson and Theresa Boudreaux; seven grandchildren; two great-
grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Edia Breaux Lirette; one 
daughter, Lois Lirette; one brother, Allen Lirette; and one sister, Edia 
Lirette.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
