"Bud" Hebert, 72, a native and resident of Chauvin, died at 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005. Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. funeral time Monday at Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nettie Dupre Hebert of Chauvin; two sons, Julius Hebert and wife, Lyn, of Houma and Troy Hebert and wife, Beverly, of Crosby, Texas; two daughters, Nancy Chapman and husband, Thomas, of Houma and Tina Clause and husband, Danny, of Gonzales; seven brothers, Aaron Hebert of Houma, and Ivy Hebert, Amos Hebert, Reis Hebert, Peter Hebert, Wallace Hebert and Henry Hebert Jr., all of Chauvin; one sister, Clara Neil Hebert of Chauvin; his special grand -daughter, Krista Cheramie of Gonzales; eight grandchildren, Corey Fanguy, Toby Fanguy, Elrin Fanguy III, Kristina Cheramie, Taylor Clause, Chase Clause, Tyler Hebert and Faith Hebert; two great-grand-children, Brittany Fanguy and Timothy "T.J." Fanguy; four step-grandchildren, Chris Derouen, Corey Martin, Sonia Martin and Colin Martin; five step-great-grandchildren, Karrie Martin, Gage Dardar, Cade Dardar, Blayze Dardar and Dylan Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry L. Hebert Sr. and Julian Duplantis Hebert; five brothers, Russel, Morris, Charles Ray, William and Walter Hebert; and three sisters, Lois Crochet, Francis Hebert and Marie Hebert. He was retired boat captain for 44 years with Family Boat Rental. He was a working family man who was a loving provider for his family. He was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
