Meriam Dupont

Meriam Rita LeBeouf Dupont, 77, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, died Monday, 
April 25, 2005.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in 
Morgan City, with burial in Morgan City Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Edward James Dupont of Bayou Vista; one 
daughter, Patricia Becnel and husband, Robert, of Mandeville; two sons, Allen 
Dupont and Michael Dupont and wife, Terry, all of Bayou Vista; and seven 
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert LeBeouf and Florence LeBlanc 
LeBeouf; one daughter, Josette Dupont; and one sister, Enola L. Acord.

She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and a volunteer worker at Tech 
Regional Medical Center. She was a charter member of the hospital ladies 
auxiliary and served more than 50 years as "the pink ladies." She was also a 
charter member of the hospital auxiliary at the Old Fairview Hospital in Bayou 
Vista and was honored as the woman of the year for the Business and Professional 
Women's Club of Morgan City.

She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Claire House or Tech Regional Hospital 
Auxiliary are preferred.
