The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= April 01. 2005 12:00AM Norman Mackie [Photo] Norman "Bull" Mackie, 60, a native of Plaquemine and resident of Gray, died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2005. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Eagle Wright Baptist Church in Gray. Funeral service will be at noon Saturday at the church, with burial in Halfway Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Antoine Mackie; five daughters, Lena Ricks of Baton Rouge, Renee Wheeler and husband, Carlos, of Baton Rouge, Kisha and Tisha Mackie of Baton Rouge and Yolanda Antoine of Gray; seven brothers, Luchiry Edwards Jr. of Baton Rouge, Willie Edwards, Jerome Edwards and wife, Mary, and Curtis Edwards and wife, Ethel, all of Houston, James Bobbie Thompson of Plaquemine and Eddie Johnson and Rodney Baptiste, both of Gray; six sisters, Lou Ann Bogany, Euladean Wright and husband, Clement, and Nora Lee Williams and husband, Lewis, all of Houston, Brendia Stagger of Plano, Texas, Patricia Turnage and husband, James, of Fordache and Diane Jenkins of Plaquemine; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Della Edwards and Charlie and Clara Mackie; two brothers, Eugene Edwards and Eugene Porter; and one sister, Linda Edwards. He was retired from Consolidated Waterworks District and was a member of Eagle Wright Baptist Church.
