Rita Mae Baradell Babin, 74, a native of Thibodaux died April 28, 2005, in 
Gretna.

Visitation will be 8 to 10:30 a.m. today at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in 
Marrero. A prayer service will take place at 10:30 a.m. today at the funeral 
home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. 
Anthony Catholic Church in Lafitte. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in 
Thibodaux.

She is survived by four sons, Harold Jr., Robert, James and Kenneth Babin; four 
daughters, Sandy Young, Cindy Melancon, Marilyn Higgins and Debbie Kerner; four 
sisters, Mildred Adams, Marie Babin, Shirley Simmons and Rose Boudreaux; 23 
grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Babin; one daughter, Heta M. 
Babin; her parents, Robert and Cecile Braud Baradell; two brothers, Charles and 
Robert Baradell Jr.; and her companion, Irvin Forsyth.
