Rita Hebert Marcel, 79, a native of Bayou Blue and resident of Houma, died at 
9:20 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9:30 
a.m. until funeral time Monday at First United Methodist Church. Religious 
service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Garden of 
Memories Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel Luke Marcel and wife, Kayla Redden Marcel, 
of Napoleonville and Ronnie J. Marcel and wife, Vicky Jennings Marcel, of Houma; 
one daughter, Charlotte Marcel Bourgeois and husband, Royce Bourgeois, of Houma; 
one brother, Roy Hebert of Lafayette; one sister, Delores Crochet of Houma; 
seven grandchildren, Kecia Marcel Ruby, Todd Bourgeois, Ryan Bourgeois, Michelle 
Bourgeois, Becky Marcel Bonnette, Jenny Marcel Marie and Wayne Marcel; and 10 
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Joseph Marcel; her parents, 
Albert Hebert and Lena Marcel Hebert; and one brother, Leonard Hebert.

She was a homemaker.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
