Sauzaune Smith

Sauzaune Smythe Smith, 93, a native of Hammond and a resident of Houma, died at 
9:40 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005, of natural causes at her daughter's home in 
Hammond.

Visitation will be from 1:15 p.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral 
Home Chapel. Religious service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home 
chapel, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Lester Smith of New Iberia; one daughter, 
Sauzaune Smith Fambrough of Hammond; five grandchildren, Thomas Beatty Smith II 
and Tony Smith Tauzin of New Iberia, and Ashley, Aimee and Thomas Hunt Fambrough 
of Hammond; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Coach Thomas Beatty Smith; her 
parents, Thomas Lester Smythe and Fannie Belle Holdman Smythe; and five 
siblings, Lester Smythe, Sara Smythe, Margaret Grace, Elizabeth Fleming and 
Thomas Smythe.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
