Virgie Himel

Virgie Himel, 84, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 6:25 a.m. Monday, 
April 4, 2005.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Christ the Redeemer 
Catholic Church in Thibodaux. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, 
with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Earl and Warren Himel; two daughters, Gloria 
Legendre and Dianne Benoit; one brother, Nolan Benoit; six grandchildren; and 
eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Neville Himel; her parents, Orestile 
and Leonie Thibodaux Benoit; three brothers, Jessie, Norman and Roy Benoit; and 
two sisters, Verine Tabor and Essie Thibodaux.
